The Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority has decided that most of the work of the Casino Inquity will be deferred in the current context of the COVID-19 epidemic, until it is considered safe and practicable for all public aspects of the work to resume.

As a result of the recent reports and impacts of COVID-19 and in alignment with changes that has been advised by the Commonwealth and State Governments to minimise activity and interaction between members of the community, it is with regret that the public hearings of the Inquiry will be deferred to a date to be fixed.

Consequent upon the judgment of the New South Wales Court of Appeal delivered on 12 March 2020 the public hearings of the Inquiry that were adjourned on 27 February 2020 will resume at 10am on Wednesday 18 March 2020.

The NSW Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority (ILGA) has published Terms of Reference for its inquiry into the Barangaroo restricted gaming facility granted to Crown Sydney Gaming Pty Limited (Licensee) pursuant to section 143 of the Casino Control Act 1992 (NSW) (Casino Control Act).

The NSW Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority announces that it will be conducting an inquiry under section 143 of the Casino Control Act 1992 (NSW)(the Act) into the proposed sale of shares in Crown Resorts from James Packer's CPH Crown Holdings Pty Limited to Lawrence Ho's Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited, a Hong Kong-based casino operator, through a subsidiary.
